Married Life

I don’t know if anyone is ever checking this blog. Since we (Hani and I) are married now, we thought that we could start blogging.

Hani and I were married on the 27th of October, 2007 at Duarte, CA. It was a blessed day! A day that I wouldn’t want to forget for the rest of my life. We had all our loved ones on our wedding. It’s so cool to see how God had brought people from different walks of life to bless the both of us.

People had been asking me how it feels to be a married man. It’s hard to describe. “Happy” would be too cheap a word to describe how I feel. It’s more than that. It’s a feeling of joy, assurance, peace and much more mixed together. I look forward to go home from work because I know that I’m not going to a empty house but a ‘home’. Feels good to wake-up in the morning and see Hani’s face (she looks like a little baby in the morning). When it’s cold in the house and don’t have the heater in our room; I can cuddle and be warm with Hani and our two cats. 🙂 Sometimes I don’t prefer to turn on the heater just to cuddle. 😉

It’s good to be married. I know that it’s not going to be a bed of roses and that’s what makes it fun. I was reading this book “How people grow” by Clouds and Townsend this morning. The author mentioned that without suffering a person won’t grow to maturity. Jesus has lived his life as an ultimate example of suffering. Good one for us to follow.

I was chatting with Adele Booysen today and she shared with me something from C.S. Lewis and I want to leave you guys with that:

When I have learnt to love God better than my earthly dearest, I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now…. When first things are put first, second things are not suppressed but increased.

  1. Hey Guys! Hope it’s okay that we found your blog and are catching up on your life together! How are you two? Still in Azusa? Well, Adam and I hope all is well!
