Life Update
3 rescued kittens are now (almost) our family
Aug 1st
It’s been about 3 weeks since we rescued these kittens from under a trash bin. It’s been a joy and a challenge to take care of 3 kittens. Good news is that we don’t have to bottle feed them anymore. That’s a huge transition for us in the last few days when the started to lap the milk from the bowl.
Whenever I tell people about our kittens they always ask this question:
How many cats do you have?
And my answer is 2 + 3 kittens.
Trust me we are not crazy… yet. Over the past three weeks Hani and I have grown to loves these three kittens so much. They each have their own character (already). So, in this post I thought of writing a bit about each of them.

Gender: We are assuming that she’s a girl
Age: She’s the youngest of her clan
From the name that we gave her you could guess that she loves to talk. Yes, she yaps a LOT! She also loves to be cozy and comfy on our laps. She doesn’t play as much as her siblings. I think she’s the “softer” kind.
Hani and Yappy get along very well. Yappy loves to sleep on Hani. They communicate pretty well too. Yappy tends to talk a lot when we come back home from work and when she is hungry.
We love this kid much as well as the other one’s.

Gender: Well we are assuming that she’s a girl as well
Age: We think she should be the oldest one.
Gentle is very active. She loves to run around the house. Gentle likes to play with her brother Fiesty. Man they play together a lot. She often pounces on her own tail! It’s so cute and funny!
We named her Gentle when we got her because she was the one who was cleaning her little sister Yappy.

Gender: Again we are assuming that he’s a boy
Age: He’s in between Gentle and Yappy
Man this guy is naughty! This kid is demanding. He climbs up your legs if he is hungry! His name is very apt for his personality. He is very active. It’s so funny to him play with Gentle. He some time challenges Putty for a duel!
Well now you’ve known a little bit about our three kids. We are still looking for people to adopt them. As much as we would love to have them it’s just to hard on our budget to take care of 5 cats.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like to know more about them or come pay them a visit.
Married Life
Nov 8th
I don’t know if anyone is ever checking this blog. Since we (Hani and I) are married now, we thought that we could start blogging.
Hani and I were married on the 27th of October, 2007 at Duarte, CA. It was a blessed day! A day that I wouldn’t want to forget for the rest of my life. We had all our loved ones on our wedding. It’s so cool to see how God had brought people from different walks of life to bless the both of us.
People had been asking me how it feels to be a married man. It’s hard to describe. “Happy” would be too cheap a word to describe how I feel. It’s more than that. It’s a feeling of joy, assurance, peace and much more mixed together. I look forward to go home from work because I know that I’m not going to a empty house but a ‘home’. Feels good to wake-up in the morning and see Hani’s face (she looks like a little baby in the morning). When it’s cold in the house and don’t have the heater in our room; I can cuddle and be warm with Hani and our two cats.
Sometimes I don’t prefer to turn on the heater just to cuddle.
It’s good to be married. I know that it’s not going to be a bed of roses and that’s what makes it fun. I was reading this book “How people grow” by Clouds and Townsend this morning. The author mentioned that without suffering a person won’t grow to maturity. Jesus has lived his life as an ultimate example of suffering. Good one for us to follow.
I was chatting with Adele Booysen today and she shared with me something from C.S. Lewis and I want to leave you guys with that:
When I have learnt to love God better than my earthly dearest, I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now…. When first things are put first, second things are not suppressed but increased.
Back in Los Angeles
May 14th
After a planned 15 days trip to India turned to an unplanned 37 days trip; I came back to US on the May 9th, 2007. My stay in India was good. I got to spend a lot of time with mom, dad, prasanth (my brother), and viji (my sister-in-law). I got to meet few friends whom I haven’t seen in few years.
One of them was my 8th standard friend his name is Roshan Kant. I also got a chance to meet with his wife-to-be Felicia Radha. They both are quite a joyous couple. I wish I had more time to spend with them together. They are getting married in September 2007. Please keep them in your prayers.
I met Joseph sir during this trip to India. He was the one who lead me to the Lord. It was great to see him. He is now the head-master of the school as well as a pastor! I met his family and spent some good time with them.
Oh, I met with a lot of my undergrad friends from Coimbatore Institute of Technology. Rajkumar Srinivasan was one of my good buddies who flew in to Chennai from Hyderabad just to see me. He is now working for a software firm in Hyderabad and is into money market as well. I was glad that I was able to see him and talk to him. It’s been 4 years since I’ve seen him! I also met with Nalalagappan, Hemachandran, Sathya Christy and Kanimozhi.
This trip to India helped to me spend a lot of time with mom and to connect with my old friends. It was a very profitable time for me in India. In our family we usually travel when we meet together; but this time due to some constraints with my work and visa we were not able to do that; and that turned out to be good! I could not have spent so much quality time with my family if we had traveled.
Thank you mom and dad.
